There are a few different types of employment law firms, each with its own strengths and weaknesses.  The largest type of employment law firm is the corporate law firm. Corporate law firms focus on representing companies in litigation and other legal proceedings.

They may also provide consulting services to businesses. Corporate law firms can be very expensive, and they may not have the expertise to represent individuals in certain types of cases.  Another large type of employment law firm  is the labor union law firm. Labor union law firms represent unions and other labor organizations in litigation and other legal proceedings.

Solo practice employment law firms represent individual employees in litigation and other legal proceedings. They may also provide counseling and representation to employees who are facing disciplinary action or who are considering filing a lawsuit against their employer. Solo practice employment law firms can be more affordable than either corporate or labor union law firms.

Corporate employment law firms are typically viewed as the most powerful and largest employment law firms. They often represent employers who have a large number of employees, and they also may represent labor unions and employers' associations dealing with regulatory issues.
