Used Pallets Are Smart Choice for Startups

Most business owners rely on used pallets for their processes. These people consider what makes their company's operations cost-effective without sacrificing service or quality.

Business holders prefer recycled second-hand pallets in moving materials. The food industry, steel industry, paper & printing companies, retail and manufacturing companies, are markets where used pallets are used.

Because the economy is changing rapidly and constantly, it is an easy decision to choose a used pallet. For those who are just starting in their business, I suggest you choose used wood pallets too.

Considerations to make before buying wooden pallets

Not only because it is my business but because it will help you and your business's bottom line! The reason I recommend using wood pallets instead of plastic is three times that.

1. They are more easily available in a wider variety of sizes.

2. They are cheaper than plastic.

3. This is a renewable resource that enhances your company's recycling resume.

An estimated 50% of hardwood harvested in the US is used for the production of new wood pallets. Through positive responses from companies throughout the country, the manufacturing of new pallets has experienced a remarkable decline while an average of 170 million wood pallets is being repaired every year.

Used wood pallets come in several different sizes and types. The most common standard size is the 48×40 GMA which is used mainly in the food industry. Another common palette is the CEN Standard, also called the EURO pallet.

ISO Standard and a 1200 x 1200 mm pallet, Euro Pallet is widely used in Europe and is available in various sizes. The most common is "Pallet EUR" or sometimes called "the whole pallet" which measures 800 x 1200mm.

ISO-Standard pallets are suitable when you have a racking system for use while a 1,200 x 1,200 mm pallet is used for most fresh products and retail businesses.
